Unchanged by the passage of time, Montblanc has retained all the charms which attracted kings and courtesans to what became the seventh largest town in the region. Its monumental and artistic elements, some of the most well preserved in Catalonia, were the backdrop to the golden legend of Sant Jordi and the dragon, which is commemorated yearly during Medieval Week and is popular with tourists. The town has a complete festival and events listing to add to its interesting museum offering.
