La Robla Express

Renfe’s great offering in terms of rail tourism with overnight stays includes another consolidated product, El Expreso de La Robla (Larobla Express). This train offers the charm and comforts of travel in a classic tourist train at affordable prices. In 2019, its two traditional itineraries will be maintained: That of La Robla, between León and Bilbao (or vice versa) by the route of the old coal train, and the Green Paradise, the name that has been given to the route that this train makes through the Cantabrian Cor- nice, between Bilbao and Oviedo (or vice-versa). The duration of this trip is 4 days-3 nights, and operates during the month of August. The Tourist Trains of Galicia will circulate once again in 2019, in co- operation with the Xunta de Galicia and Inorde. In 2018 they had more than 50 circulations, which took place between summer and autumn. The novelties were the “Route of the Monasteries” and the “Route of the Ribeira Sacra del Río Miño”, which were joined to other consolidated routes that run along the north coast lighthous- es, the Rías Baixas farmhouses and the D.O. Galician wines, among others. These are one-day excursions that allow the traveler to discover both the cultural heritage as well as Galician nature. Meanwhile, the Medieval Train has established itself as an attrac- tive leisure activity to get to know Sigüenza, the mythical city of El Doncel. Art, history, theater, gastronomy and crafts come together in this evocative journey, in which a group of characters await pas- sengers at Madrid Chamartín station to welcome them. Trouba- dours, stilt walkers, musicians and jugglers liven up each trip. Tourist Trains of Galicia and Medieval Train
