The landscape, filled with grape- vines that stretch across terraces, dominates the area surrounding Valdeorras , on the way to O Barco. It is near where you will find a place called Xagoaza , where Saint Mi- chael's church and monastery are. The former is from the Roman era and houses 16th-century murals, while the latter is more recent, dating back to the 18th century. On the lower level there is a wine cellar, where you can partake in a tasting, and on the upper level you can look out over the building's magnificent closed cloister from wooden balconies.
