Valle de los Naranjos. El valle de Sóller es famoso por sus huertos sembrados de naranjos que, cuan- do florecen, llenan el aire de aro- ma a azahar. Muchos bares sirven zumos de esta fruta local recién exprimida. Orange Tree Valley. The valley of Sóller is famous for its orange groves which, when in flower, fill the air with the scent of their blossom. Many cafés here serve the freshly- squeezed juice of this local fruit.

A algunas calas se puede acceder a pie o en coche desde las poblaciones que las cobijan, como cala Banyalbufar —con un chiringuito que abre en los meses de verano—o cala Estellencs, con el buen ambiente que aportan vecinos y veraneantes. A la playa del Port de Valldemossa, pequeño núcleo de veraneo con restaurante, se llega por una carretera sinuosa que conviene recorrer con mucha precaución. In all of them you will find a good range of options for practising water sports. Good atmosphere. Some coves can be accessed by car or on foot from the villages that shelter them, like cala Banyalbufar –which has a beach kiosk that opens in summer months– or cala Estellencs, with the good atmosphere provided by locals and summer visitors. The beach of Port de Valldemossa, a tiny summer holiday village with a restaurant, is reached via a wind- ing road, and great caution should be exercised when driving along it. Another road that calls for a cool disposition is the one leading to the glamorous Formentor beach, where the pine trees practically brush the sea, with a chic atmos- phere due to the hotel of the same name which is situated nearby.

En la ser- penteante carretera de Formen- tor se sitúa un mirador sobre los verticales acantilados en los que finaliza la Serra de Tramuntana, con vistas al islote Colomer, pin- tado por innumerables artistas. Along the winding Formentor road there is a scenic outlook set on top of the vertical cliffs where the Serra de Tramun- tana mountains end, affording views of the islet of Colomer, painted by countless artists.
