Playas bulliciosas, calas tranquilas BUSTLING BEACHES, QUIET COVES

L a Serra de Llevant es la formación montañosa que, paralela a la costa, configura el relieve del Este de la isla, desde Artà a Santanyí. Un espacio agraciado por el Parque Natural de la península de Llevant, con itinerarios que a menudo finalizan en calas bañadas por un mar de aguas turquesas. La belleza del litoral ha favorecido el crecimiento de varios centros turísticos que permiten gozar de la bendición del sol y la playa con todo tipo de servicios. Cala Rajada y alrededores. Uno de ellos es Cala Rajada, puerto natural de Capdepera y el punto de la isla más cercano aMenorca. Disfruta de un gran ambiente tanto de día como de noche, con una costa urbanizada recorrida por un paseo marítimo donde pasear junto al mar. Vale la pena caminar hasta el faro, en la punta de Capdepera, con conmovedoras vistas sobre los acantilados. Muy cerca se encuentra el pequeño núcleo vacacional de sa Font de sa Cala, con varios hoteles que se asoman a una playa de aguas tranqui- las y poco profundas. Entre Cap des Pinar y Cap Vermell se abre Canyamel, zona turística y residencial en la que se ubican las magníficas cuevas de Artà.

The Serra de Llevant is the moun- tain range that shapes the relief of the east of Mallorca, running parallel to the coast from Artà to Santanyí. An area graced with the península de Llevant Natural Park, with routes that often end up in coves bathed by a sea of turquoise waters. The beauty of the coast has favoured the growth of several tourist resorts which allow one to enjoy the bless- ing of the sun and the beach along with all kinds of services. Cala Rajada and around. One of them is Cala Rajada, the natural port of Capdepera and the closest point on the island to Menorca. Cala Rajada has a great atmosphere both during the day and at night, with buildings along the shore and a seafront promenade where you can stroll beside the sea. It is worth taking the time to walk up to the lighthouse, on the headland of punta de Capdepera, which affords sweep- ing views of the cliffs.
