Seville Practical Guide

It is Spain’s busiest pilgrimage, with a colourful and unique atmosphere. Another of Seville’s major festivals is the Corpus Christie , a tradition and a procession celebrated since the seventeenth century. On the eve of Corpus Christie, there are streets in the centre of the city filled with rosemary and decorated with altars for the festival. The focal point of the procession is the Custodia , made by Juan de Arfe, with 300 kg of silver. On that day, and for the next eight days, you can enjoy a beautiful sevillano tradition, the Baile de los Seises, who dance and sing before the guardian angel on the Cathedral’s Altar del Jubileo.
