EL CAPRICHO, COMILLAS (CANTABRIA) The Villa Quijano, better known as El Capricho, is a colouristic palace built between 1883 and 1885. Its surprising architecture, designed by the brilliant Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, has Gothic, Oriental, Mudéjar and Nasrid features. The arcade crowned by a Persian-style minaret deserves special mention. El Capricho has 3,000 m 2 of spacious gardens and terraces for exclusive use, and features a glass house, a large main salon and professional kitchens.
