CABAÑEROS NATIONAL PARK In the Montes de Toledo you'll find one of the largest areas of Mediterranean forest in the mainland of Spain. In the wide open plains of the Raña de Santiago , known as the "Spanish Serengeti", you'll find an abundance of deer. Cabañeros is also a refuge for a number of endangered species, notably the golden eagle and the black vulture.
