In the Romanesque, Baroque and Gothic styles, the Cathedral of València is an impressive architectural gemwhich overlooks Plaza de la Virgen and Plaza de la Reina. The Holy Chalice used by Jesus during the Last Supper can be found inside. The Tribunal de las Aguas (Water Tribunal), which was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2009, is held at the Cathedral’s Gothic gate every Thursday at noon. The best views of the city can be enjoyed from the top of the Miguelete, the Cathedral’s bell tower which can be reached after climbing its 207 steps. It’s well worth the effort!

Besides being admired for its original modern architecture, the Colón Market is a must-visit for foodies. Today, this former food market is an authentic gourmet venue with 20 establishments, including restaurants, refreshment stalls, bars, florists and cafés, along with traditional market stalls such as butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers and delicatessens. Well worth a visit!
